The flight back is long (10 hours, but lose a day from Tokyo), but we splurged for business class. Hopefully we can sleep.

Our trip as a whole, 14,553 air miles
- LAX to Hong Kong
- Hong Kong to Narita, Japan
- Narita, Japan to LAX

Though LAX is our US gateway city, we still have to fly back to our home city.
We left as we arrived, taking the subway to Ginza station to catch the Narita Express to the airport. Fortunately there was a bus waiting as we exited the subway station.
In the Duty Free, we find that Matcha is a ‘thing’.

Without question, Tokyo was our favorite city. We saw a lot, but so little, and did not touch the rest of Japan. We’ll need at least a few more return trips!
We have a few hours to kill in the airport lounge before departure. Reading some of the newspapers, Trump’s speech did not make the front page of the Financial Times, but did on the Japan Times.
They’re serving sushi in the lounge, but you only get two pieces. I ate the evidence.😉
Internet access in the plane is pretty pricey:
On Air internet Pricing:
- 15 meg $6.99
- 30 meg 12.99
- 50 meg $19.99
Sleeping on plane? Not so much.
