Trip 53
April 26, 2026
The quietude of a late Sunday morning was not to be, as the restaurant down the cul-de-sac from us was having a Sunday morning brunch and had a band (YouTube) playing, while the restaurant served up oysters on the half shell and wine to their diners.

Just around from here is Fragonard, whose fragrance house in Grasse, France we visited some years ago. Grasse is a town on the French Riviera, in the hills north of Cannes. It’s known for its long-established perfume industry.
Shopping done, we walked towards Galleries Lafayette. Predictably, on this beautiful day, there were quite a few people on the roof getting a view of the Paris skyline.

There is a suspended glass walkway that goes part way out, and at Christmas, the decorations are spectacular and the waiting lines to go out, equally so , but now we saw signs suggesting you “book” your visit.
Ah, but there is an end to everything and everything ends. Tomorrow is our last day in Paris on this trip.
So many places visited on this trip, whether we’ve been to the city or venue before, we always discover new places and things. From Vienna to Munich to Amsterdam to Paris. More trips to come!
